Merry Christmas!! :)
Merry Christmas, friend!!
He was just like us... Born as an ordinary, tender, helpless baby. Born to ordinary parents, in a barn... With no doctor or midwife by his mother's side. No fanfare. No one there to witness his miraculous birth, apart from his mom and dad. He was placed in a dirty manger, even! Can't get much more humble than that.
Growing up he lived under the authority of his parents, went to school, did his chores, folded his laundry, etc., all the things a typical kid would do. Lived a mostly ordinary life until he was 30 years old. And he had no special appearance.
Yet, he was a King! The Creator and Savior of the world. And it's amazing because, he, to whom was given all authority in heaven and on earth, chose to live this life, despite knowing the difficulties ahead, how he would be mocked, laughed at, humiliated, spit on, beaten, nailed to and hung on a splintery cross, and die. Even though he was perfectly innocent. All this, so that we could accept the gift of his death payment on the cross for our sins and have eternal life, enjoying a relationship with our heavenly Father forever.
That's the message of Christmas. We have a humble, "guy next door" Savior named Jesus, who loves us so much that he'd rather die than be separated from us.
I can't say I understand it all, but I can say that He's my Jesus, my joy and the reason I have hope every day. Apart from him I don't know where else to turn. He can be your joy and hope too. All you have to do is put your faith in him and welcome him into your heart. :)
Sending you love and hugs for a Merry Christmas and healthy, happy New Year!

"For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty that we should look upon Him, nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.
He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed."
