Good News for the Holidays

Hello friend,

I hope this finds you well as the holiday season is upon us and we gather together to celebrate. It is a time of great joy for many, and I hope that is true for you! For some of us, however, we may feel saddened at times from missing loved ones, needing forgiveness, experiencing sickness, feeling worn out and empty, or needing a miracle in another area of our life.

Some degree of darkness is inevitable in all of our lives.

But, there is good news! There will always be hope and light for all who seek it; and not just today, but every day. Hope and light may be found in the reason for Christmas - Christ.

“And in His name the Gentiles will hope.” (Matthew 12:21)

"For God, who said, “light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ." (2 Corinthians 4:6)

No matter what we may face and how our circumstances may change, this hope we have is sure and steadfast, because the history of Jesus' life, death and resurrection, and the words of the Bible will never change.

I invite you to consider these things and ponder them in your heart, for there is great joy to be found in them!
