Happy Friday, Friend! 🌞🍀🌸
I hope you're doing ok with the coronavirus situation. It appears that the virus is just a bit more serious than the regular flu, so if I were you I'd take similar precautions as you do every flu season! Wash your hands, avoid touching your face, cough/sneeze into your elbow and keep your immune system strong with enough sleep, exercise, veggies and fruits, positive rather than negative interactions with others and faith over fear! 🙏 If you have a weakened immune system from chemo treatments or underlying illnesses or are elderly, you may wish to take extra precautions in addition to the above by avoiding crowded areas (you're more likely to receive transmission of the virus within 3 feet of someone who has it) and avoiding traveling. Please don't use a mask unless you really need one, as there is a worldwide shortage of masks according to the World Health Organization.
Interestingly, after just researching essential oils I found this article showing the efficacy of an essential oil blend in an avian coronavirus (virus transmitted from an animal) in chickens. This is not the same as the current coronavirus, COVID-19, and it's an animal rather than human study but I find it interesting and hopeful that maybe essential oils could help protect us from coronaviruses as well! Essential oils have been found to be antiviral (please send me a message if you'd like the full-text of this article), which is good news! For example, Mexican oregano oil was found to be antiviral against 5 out of 8 viruses in this study and certain strains of eucalyptus were also found to be antiviral.
If you'd like to learn more about essential oils - what they can do for a person with cancer and other illnesses, here's the recording and PowerPoint presentation from Wednesday!
Enjoy, Friend, and take care of yourself! 😊🌞
